Biography

My name is Manfred Rosenboom (maro). I had studied theoretical physics (QED) at the University of Bielefeld (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany), but changed to computer science in business after my master degree in 1985. Since 1988 I'm a system software developer and administrator on UNIX based platforms. In the late 90s I have switched mainly to Java based programming. Currently I'm working for the Fujitsu Siemens Computers GmbH Layered Products Division in Munich (Bavaria, Germany) in the openSEAS development and consulting group.

I'm involved in the following projects:

Since 1990 I'm married to Christine. We have two children: Thomas and Sabrina.

No surprise (see picture at home page): I'm a fan of Douglas Adams' "The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (a trilogy in five volumes).
